Jennifer Creel and Chris Mack created the Tuxedo shirt in collaboration with men’s wear designer STEPHEN FERBER after a tireless search for a tailored women’s shirt with the details of a custom tailored mens shirt, with a unique feminine touch. Realizing the need for a sophisticated and versatile item, they designed their own, which fits perfectly and can be dressed up or down and worn day or night.
Jennifer Creel is a New Yorker who spent a large part of her childhood traveling while attending school abroad.
After school, Jennifer worked as a designer for Ralph Lauren for twelve years. While raising her three children, she starred on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, and appeared in various fashion films and television segments. She was a creative director for L’Atelier du Savon, a French soap company which launched at Bergdorf Goodman in 2006. In 2008, she started designing sunglasses (Modo for Jennifer Creel) and custom jewelry (Jennifer Creel).
She now resides in New York.
The travel lifestyle is authentic for Chris Mack. She was born in the Philippines and spent her childhood on airplanes visiting relatives in Sweden, Australia, and the United States. At age 8 she moved to Stockholm, Sweden. There, at the age of 14, she was discovered by Eileen Ford and spent the next 10 years modeling in Paris, Milan, and New York.
After making New York her base, Chris attended the Parsons School of Design and started her own graphic design firm. Her clients have included Nicole Miller, Calypso, and Scoop.
She lives in New York with her husband and three children and spends her time between Palm Beach, Southampton, Aspen, and Stockholm.
